Kenya Cuts Key Rate for Seventh Time in Row to Bolster Economy
The Central Bank of Kenya cut its benchmark interest rate for the seventh time in a row to boost private-sector lending and economic growth as inflation remains within target.
The monetary policy committee lowered the key rate to 9.5% from 9.75%, Governor Kamau Thugge said in an emailed statement Tuesday. That matched the median estimate of six economists in a Bloomberg survey.
